Sevilla West School is on the Accu-Scan Meal Ticket System. Students can pay In advance for any number of days on their meal tickets and are encouraged to do so. They may pay into their accounts any amount of money for a week, a month or the entire year using the account for either breakfast or lunch. Deposits can be made each morning in the cafeteria from 8:00 to 8:20 a.m. Students will be reminded when it is necessary to deposit more money into their account. Meal cards must not be shared with other students under Federal Regulation.

The price of the HOT LUNCH or SALAD BAR for students is as follows:

Full Price – $1.80            *Reduced Price – $ .40

BREAKFAST prices are: Full Price – $1.00 per day            *Reduced – $ .30 per day

*REDUCED price meals are offered to students who qualify according to federal regulations.

Applications for FREE and REDUCED cafeteria meals are available in the school office and in the cafeteria. We encourage all families to apply for this valuable program. Children qualifying for free meals are processed exactly as the paid accounts.

Except for reduced priced cards, cash may be used at the door to purchase a single meal. However, the deposit on meal cards is encouraged to prevent the loss of children's money. For the single meal purchase, please send nothing larger than a dollar bill.

Meal charges are not allowed. The cafeteria clerk reminds students when their meal account has only two meals remaining. Students must have money in their account, or lunch money for the day, in order to receive meals. On three occasions during the school year, students will be given an alternate meal of a peanut butter sandwich, cheese wedge, carrot/celery sticks, an apple, and milk when they have a “zero” balance or no money for the day.

During student meal service, no outside food service (e.g., McDonald’s, Burger King, Taco Bell) is allowed in the cafeteria. Sack lunches are permitted. Milk can be purchased to go with sack lunches for 25¢. If the student is not buying milk, parents are encouraged to provide unsweetened fruit juice for sack lunches. Soda pop or other carbonated drinks are not allowed with either school meals or sack lunches.
